Channel 4’s How to Beat…Pain

I was asked to suggest simple lifestyle interventions and exercises for volunteers living with pain including migraines, rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia for a Channel 4 TV programme. I also provided expert insight and analysis as we followed nine volunteers over 6 weeks of activities including tai-chi, yoga, mindfulness and acupuncture. International Women’s Day 2020

The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University jointly hosted a free civic event in the Market Square Nottingham. Along with colleagues and students from the Applied/Sport and Exercise Medicine Masters courses we presented activities and information on the science behind great women sporting achievements – how your body works when you exercise and why physical activity is great for your health and well-being.
