PPI in Translational Research BRC Musculoskeletal Conference 2022

I was honoured to be invited to give a keynote presentation on Patient and Public Involvement in translational research on the final session of the two day NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Medical Research  Virtual Conference 2022.

As well as a brief introduction to translational research, I presented some cases of award-worthy PPI activities involving our musculoskeletal PPI members.

Dr Ben Marson also shared his PPI activities for his CORE kids study, which included a children’s PPI session at Twycross zoo.

I was also joined by volunteer PPI members Alan Creswell and Maureen Godfrey to discuss how they have been involved in research.
